Without a Doubt –  Looking Younger with the Vampire Facial and Facelift!

The Vampire Facial has become popular thanks to celebrities having the procedure to keep their skin looking camera ready and glowing. The Vampire Facial is a procedure which combines platelet rich plasma (PRP) with the use of micro needle dermal stimulation.(Rejuvapen). The medical micro needle procedure using the Rejuvapen is a method of “collagen induction therapy” also referred to as “CIT”. The small entries into the dermis cause the skin to respond with collagen which softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as superficial sun damage.

There is difference between the Vampire Facial and The Vampire Facelift. The Vampire Facial does not include any injection with a syringe. The PRP (platelet rich plasma) is spread over the skin and the fine needles of of the micro needle device creates “entry pores” to the top layers of the skin.

The benefits of this treatment can be appreciated as soon as 1 week. The skin can continue to improve over several weeks and the benefits can last for months.

The Vampire Facial treatment is customized to the needs of the client and is used to improve the appearance of:

  • Complexion
  • Acne scars
  • Chicken Pox scars
  • Fine lines
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Brown discolorations

The platelet rich plasma (PRP) delivery to the dermis further enhances the micro needle treatment so collagen and other skin enhancing support is stimulated by the growth factors in the platelet rich plasma (PRP). The platelet rich plasma (PRP) also has factors which stimulate blood supply to the skin. This creates a look of glow and luster to the skin which is unique to platelet rich plasma.

Typically, the skin can appear pink for about 1-2 days however, makeup can be worn the next day.

WHAT IS Different about the THE VAMPIRE FACELIFT®?

In a Vampire Facelift, a dermal filler such as Juvederm or Restylane is injected into the areas that need volume.  Then, after your platelet rich plasma is extracted, it is injected under the skin to help form a matrix for the rebuilding of collagen. Typically, a PRP facelift will allow the filler to have more longevity.

The revolutionary Vampire Facelift is a minimally invasive procedure that combines the science of platelet rich plasma (PRP) with dermal filler to produce incredible anti-aging results, including collagen remodeling, tightening, lifting, volumizing and overall brightening of the face and neck.

PRP is a concentrated source of platelets, growth factors and cytokines produced naturally in your own body, and stimulates and controls healthy regenerative processes, including collagen and soft tissue remodeling, and thereby improves overall health and rejuvenation. PRP has been used successfully for years to promote improved healing times and optimal results from various surgical and non-surgical procedures. The PRP, painlessly obtained through a small blood draw, is injected after dermal filler and enhances the results of this amazing procedure.

With many ways to rejuvenate the face, why look for a better way?  You may have tried some of the following strategies:

  • Skin creams and facial peels by a skilled aesthetician can be very helpful but sometimes are just not strong enough to rejuvenate the tissue adequately.
  • Retin A and other prescription medications (like hydraquinone) also improve texture and should be carefully prescribed in a way that gives benefit without adverse effects.  But, still, the results can be slow and less than what’s needed.
  • Cosmetic surgery can remove excess skin and make the person appear younger. But, a surgical facelift can be more than what’s needed for some people (especially when lots of extra skin is not the main problem).
  • Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers (like Juvederm and Restylane) lift the skin away from the bone to restore youthful volume and shape. There are times when HA fillers can cause problems near the eye and do little to improve skin tone and texture.

3 Steps of the Vampire Facial® Procedure

First, the physician (1)  isolates growth factors from the patient’s blood.  Then (2), the provider uses a micro-needling device to create multiple micro-punctures –both driving the isolated growth factors into the skin & creating stimulus for tightening and rejuvenation of the collagen of the face. Then (3), these provider paints the growth factors onto the micro-punctures so that the growth factors soak into the tissue for further stimulation of tightening and skin rejuvenation.

The skin tightens, and glows with color, and scaring softens for a beautiful younger and very natural result.Isolating the Magic from Your Blood

1)  Isolating the Blood:

First, our certified PA’s or RN’s draw blood from your arm (just like getting a blood test done).

Then, using a centrifuge, the staff member isolates platelets from that blood (platelet-rich plasma or PRP)–all within about 10 minutes in the office!

2) Micro-Needling

Once the blood is separated, we harvest the most important part of the blood called PRP, which is madeup of your platelets and plasma.  The provider will use the Rejuvapen to make tiny microscopic pinpoint holes in the skin while using your Platelet Rich Plasma as a serum.

(3) Coating and Soaking Your Face with Blood-Derived Growth Factors

Once finished their may be some PRP serum that is sent home with the client.  This should be refrigerated, but used as a facial serum throughout the remainder of the day or evening,.

These growth factors then activate multipotent stem cells  already in the skin (tricking them into “thinking” there’s been an injury and new younger tissue should be generated).
